Desperate Housewives: We're So Happy You're So Happy

Desperate Housewives(S05E02) "I think I just heard the milk go bad." - Andrew to Bree and Orson

That line Andrew said to escape an uncomfortable situation was funny but not that important in the overall episode. However, many Desperate Housewives characters could have said it this week as all of them found themselves in situations they would have preferred not to be in.

Susan had to face the fact that the men in her life met one another. Gaby tried to maintain her social status but ended up being the laugh of the party (well, Carlos was). An overworked and stressed Bree had to cook for a neglected and fed up Orson. McCluskey had to apologize the Edie in order to get her cat back. While Lynette signed a breaking up email with the words "Love, Mom." Ouch!

America's Got Talent aftermath: fan reactions against the winner

America's Got Talent
If you've been reading my America's Got Talent reviews over the summer, you know I was not happy with last week's results. But since I'm a passive viewer (aka I do not vote), I had to accept America's choice as best new act in America. Since the finale aired, I've been reading comments TV Squad readers left on our site and what the Entertainment Weekly AGT reviewer and readers had to say about the winner. Reading those comments left me with one question: who voted for the winner anyway?

America's Got Talent: Episode 317 (season finale)

America's Got Talent(S03E17) "The best new act in America." - The Narrator

Not to worry, I won't spoil who won the America's Got Talent before the jump. So since I have space to kill before I chit chat about the result show, let's use it for stats, shall we?

The first episode of the season aired on June 17, meaning that we spent 3 months and a half watching the competition unfold. In total, we've spend 31 hours and 13 minutes (including commercials) watching acts ranging from the awful to amazing as well as listen to the judges comments and Jerry reminding us that it's "One winner, one nation." Why 13 minutes? Well, the president's address last week cut the Top 5 episode short to 43 minutes according to NBC.

Now that I've used a few lines with stats that make us sound like people who didn't have much to do over the summer, let's get down to business....

Oops! Newspapers around the world use SNL pic as official Palin one - VIDEO

Saturday Night Live
As I was eating breakfast while flipping the pages of a French local newspaper this morning, my eyes caught the picture above, which accompanied an article about Sarah Palin. I couldn't put my finger on it right away, but I knew there was a problem with this picture. The caption under it says that during interviews, Palin is hesitant, troubled and clumsy but didn't offer more on where the picture was taken and who was on the right.

All day, I tried to discover what was wrong with the picture. Thanks to Quebec's news station 93,3, which I listen to in the afternoon, I learned what was wrong about it: it's a picture of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in a recent Saturday Night Live sketch! Oops!

Gossip Girl: The Serena Also Rises

Gossip Girl(S02E05) "I would like to experience the world of Chuck Bass." - Dan

Once again this week, we were treated to a rocking episode of Gossip Girl, which included the usual backstabbing but also Jenny lying, Dan getting arrested and Chuck revealing a deep secret.

As a Chuck fan, I found the episode a little bit awkward but satisfying at the same time. It was uncomfortable to see Chuck at the bottom of the barrel and agree to hang with Dan because he was bored to death. However, Dan the following Chuck around allowed us to get to know Chuck a little bit more.

Desperate Housewives: You're Gonna Love Tomorrow (season premiere)

Desperate Housewives
(S05E01) "She's back!" - Lynette about Edie

Even if most of the Desperate Housewives fans knew well in advance that there would be a five-year jump in the season finale, many were left wondering what the hell would happen next. One of the questions Desperate Housewives fans wanted answered most was what made Susan and Mike divorce. Luckily for fans, we've got a pretty good idea what broke Susan and Mike up in this week's season premiere.

America's Got Talent: Episode 316

America's Got Talent(S03E16) "Tonight is the night you choose your winner." - Jerry

Having watched America's Got Talent all summer long, I should have been looking forward to this week's episode, especially since we were treated to the final performances. Somehow, I found myself not caring. I actually ended up surfing the web while watching the episode, something I usually never do. Could it be because the presidential address to the nation on the economy killed the mood? Or maybe it was because the finalists basically gave performances that were similar to what they've been giving us all season?

Gossip Girl: The Ex-Files

Gossip Girl
(S02E04) "This is your year to rule." - Chuck to Serena

Bye bye The Hamptons. Hello Upper East Side. Senior year doesn't only bring back high school uniform fashion but also the high school hierarchy system. Who knew, besides Chuck and spoilers addicts, that there would be a change of power at school and that Serena would take back duties as Queen Bee? This plot line not only adds drama to the show (oh, how will dethroned Blair cope with her new place in the food chain?) but also offers those of us who never read the Gossip Girl books a taste of what "old" Serena was all about.

America's Got Talent: Episode 315B

America's Got Talent
(S03E15B) "I can promise you some major shocks." - Jerry

Shocks? What shocks? America's Got Talent's Top 5 is actually what the TV Squad readers and myself predicted after watching the Top 10 performances. Who made the cut and what I thought of Natasha Bedingfield's performance coming up!

America's Got Talent: Episode 315

America's Got Talent
(S03E15) "You got everyone in this room including a girl I'm dating." - The Hoff to Joseph Hall

Other performers "got everyone in this room" as The Hoff said because the Top 10 offered a good number of fantastic performances. It will be difficult for America to vote for the America's Got Talent winner next week because the competition is fierce. This week, the judges actually told at least three performers, in one way or another, that they were front runners but there can be only one winner. But first, they must get voted through to the Top 5. Who will make the cut?

Gossip Girl: The Dark Night

Gossip Girl
(S02E03) "This party just went over to the dark side." - Gossip Girl

Welcome to the dark side! Actually, when Gossip Girl is concerned, we should probably talk about the darker side. Let's face it, most of the characters are already in the dark side zone. This week's power outage, along with Catherine's evil manipulations, only made said side much darker. Let's review how much darker GG got this week, shall we?

America's Got Talent: Episode 314B

America's Got Talent
(S03E314B) "Who's life will change tonight?" - The Voice-Over Guy

America's Got Talent's Mr. Voice-Over Guy was right, someone's life changed this week. Well, technically 10 lives changed during the results as Jerry announced the acts that made it to the Top 10. These ten amazing and not-so-amazing acts now have a chance to win a million dollars and headline a show in Vegas (I'm sure you were able to finish my sentence before completely reading it since Jerry said the latter part of it 10 times tonight!).

There were some surprises, a heart-stopping moment, and some "what were they thinking" moments during this rather dry but to the point 30-minute results show.
