Calleigh and Delko

(S05E21) I really enjoyed this episode a lot, but I have to ask. Why did the preview from last week's episode make it seem like some real serious fireworks were going to go off between Calleigh and Delko? I recall something along the lines of, "the moment we've all waited for." What moment? She gave him a peck on the cheek to say thanks! That was it! Realistically, this will lead to something further in the coming final episodes (Delko seemed a bit smitten), but why blow the exciting preview on this instance? It wasn't a big deal at all. The rest of the episode was quite good though. Solid case as well as some shady stuff happening in the crime lab.

The entire case was humorous from start to finish. That married couple was willing to do anything to divorce each other. Good to see that Kelly Carlson is keeping busy in between seasons of Nip/Tuck. Don't forget that house they had either -- split in half by alarm sensor lasers. Crazy. The ending was unexpected when they both stabbed the lawyer too. I didn't really see them joining forces. I did feel bad for the son though when he pointed out that he was never something that either of his folks fought over.

Back in the lab, Delko's entire season finally started to sneak up on him. From that scam artist that sued him and won to the gun-shot wound, it all came back when an ambitious lawyer put him on the stand to judge his competency. That's a low blow but Horatio got her back later when he got her disbarred. H can certainly be vindictive when he wants to be. I was surprised that he didn't at least have some recollection of the woman though. His pay is still being deducted to compensate her right? Wouldn't he have asked questions about that?

rating 4Overall, a solid CSI: Miami installment. I especially liked the ending montage as they cut back and forth between shots of the couple being loaded into police cruisers with footage from their wedding as they got into their limo. Very well done. Feels like a 4 to me. Get excited though. Stetler is back next week!
